ABSTRACT
In Case One, the alignment of the Fluxton bypass emerged as a major source of uncertainty in relation to the choice of a land-use pattern for area A. In Case Two, the timing of this same bypass project was seen to have certain implications for the relocation of the noisy industry in area P, and for the question of improving the environment of the shopping centre in area R.
