The Vandal era of African Christianity

The Vandal era of North African history lasted approximately a hundred years (429–534). The Vandals took control of Africa from the “Roman” emperor, ¹ which was the first time that Africa functioned independently of Rome since the Punic wars. The “Byzantines” later reconquered the land and ruled Africa again until the Arab expansion in the late sixth and early seventh centuries.
