ABSTRACT
For Any Business or Household There are Two Key Management Functions That Impact on Waste Arising. First, There is the Way in Which the Processes are Designed and Materials are Procured to Minimize the Generation of Non-Recyclable Waste, And, Second, There is the Separation and Storage of Waste for Collection from the Premises. for This We Have to Apply the Waste Hierarchy Discussed in Chapter 3.6, That Is:
prevention;
preparing for re-use;
recycling;
other recovery, such as energy from waste;
disposal.
