ABSTRACT
This chapter considers some aspects of the impact of international technology transfers and the activities of MNEs on the competitiveness of home and host economies. We use the word technology in the generic sense to embrace all forms of know-how, including software technology, such as organizational and managerial skills, which may affect the production function and transactional efficiency of firms.
