ABSTRACT
This chapter starts with a brief discussion of the handful of large-scale public disclosure initiatives in developing countries. 1 Next, taking the more general literature in Chapter 1 as a starting point, it reviews the nascent academic literature on this policy instrument, and finally sketches a model for the analysis of public disclosure.
