ABSTRACT
The equivocal character of multinational business has finally been given official recognition by two of the world’s major supranational bodies. Both the United Nations and the European Economic Commission have established study committees to tackle the questions of the status of multinational companies in world society, their rights and responsibilities and the regulatory structures that should apply to them.
