ABSTRACT
When considering the historical meaning and ongoing development of weddings, cultural traditions, underpinned by religion, have played a dominant role in how societies conceptualize, implement and realize the married state of being. For clients who closely identify with their heritage and/or have deep spiritual beliefs, the social implications will be very influential to the planning process and the associated rituals often comprise the most cherished moments of the wedding.
