ABSTRACT

At this point, we will revisit the complex and varied symptoms in whiplash from the standpoint of what happens in the brain specifically related to the sensorimotor experience in an auto accident. How does the brain organize itself in the face of all of the acute and profound messages it is receiving from the body in this situation? How does it organize this information into a conceptual whole, and then make sense of it? And finally, how does it learn and adapt to this novel and overwhelming information?
