ABSTRACT
The Battle of Kings Mountain was fought in the style eulogized in myth: Americans in buckskins and hunting shirts, using Kentucky and Pennsylvania long rifles and fighting in Indian style, destroyed a major portion of Cornwallis’s Loyalist forces on the ridges of Kings Mountain.
