INTRODUCTION You are likely to find the sort of problems in this chapter inserted as part of questions dealing with more central topics such as hearsay or character evidence. Another favourite of examiners is a question about a charge of rape, where points on recent complaints can arise as well as on the complexities of ss 41-43 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999.
