Seth L. Harrison, MD, is a founding partner of Harrison Atelier, a multidisciplinary design firm,

and the founder and managing partner of Apple Tree Partners, a life-sciences investment firm. Dr.

Harrison has over twenty years of experience in developing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and

medical device companies, often from start-up, many of which focus on age-related diseases. It

was in the process of working on one such company, beginning in 1995, that Dr. Harrison met Dr.

Finch. The two developed what has become a long-standing dialogue on medicine and aging that

focuses on the social and cultural implications of extended longevity.
