ABSTRACT
The aims of this chapter are to:
identify the different types of event venue;
analyse their relationship to the environment;
explain some of the key location factors in determining sites for venues, including those of a political and ethical nature;
evaluate, through the provision of case studies, the venue decision-making process; and
highlight some environmentally friendly practices in construction.
