ABSTRACT
Regions and cities may be conceived as specific places where population, resources, information, technologies and opportunities, constituting the structural aspects of relationships, are concentrated. The wealth and prosperity of these specific locations result from a wide variety of accumulated agglomeration advantages and opportunities that permit access and transfer of locally bounded resources.
