ABSTRACT
This is the subject of Part 6 of the IET Regulations, and opens with the statement to the effect that it must be verified that all installations, before being put into service, comply with the Regulations, i.e. BS 7671. The author interprets the comment ‘before being put into service by the user ’ as before being handed over to the user, not before the supply is connected. Clearly a supply is needed to conduct some of the tests.
