ABSTRACT

Comberton Village College is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive set in rural Cambridgeshire, six miles west of the city. In 2005 in a Sunday Times poll, Comberton came out as the best school in its category in Britain, based on its 2004 GCSE results, where 43 per cent of pupils achieved at least five A*–A grades. In 2004 in a PANDA (Ofsted’s Performance and Assessment) report, Comberton is placed in the top 5 per cent of schools in England for value added results at Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.
