ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses Netherhall School and Sixth Form College, an 11-18 comprehensive school in the City of Cambridge, with specialist sports college status, located on two adjacent sites separated by a busy road. Netherhall joined the SUPER project after the other partners, and withdrew two years later. This chapter tells the story of a school keen to enter into partnership, committed to research, having a school researcher and a pre-existing programme of work related to the community themes. It is a cautionary tale of how even the most promising partnership may fail.
