ABSTRACT

This chapter comprises a series of accounts about practitioner research at Sharnbrook Upper School, which focus on the SUPER partnership between the years 2002 and 2005. However, the school’s history of involvement with research and universities stretches back further in time. Therefore, the chapter begins by considering some earlier stories of research, including Sharnbrook’s membership of SUPER from the project’s inception in 1999. The second section is concerned with structures and roles which currently promote and support research at the school. In the third section more recent stories of SUPER are told. The chapter concludes by considering what might be learnt, from Sharnbrook, about developing a ‘researching school’.
