ABSTRACT
The advent of this journal is both a unique event and part of an explosive surge in the literature on globalization. It is unique in that most of the exploding literature consists of books and articles,2 while journals remain narrowly disciplinary in their scope. Few are those journals that dare to focus on globalization in a broad interdisciplinary context – in this case so much so that an “s” is added to the end of its title in order to capture the vast scope of the subject.
