ABSTRACT

Highly intelligent people often do not suffer from problems with intellect or skill in some particular area. Generally speaking, it is harder to pick up a deficit in the integrative (or organizing) function in very intelligent people. People who are very intelligent have frequently figured out enough that they have reasonable social skill (although this is not always the case). Because they are very intelligent, they also tend to use their intelligence defensively. This creates certain problems in dealing with them, as explained below.
