ABSTRACT

This phrase was first suggested to me by my friend Dr. Albert P. Koy, a psychoanalyst in New Orleans. A savvy therapist, Al pointed out to me, during numerous discussions, that some people did this: As they were walking out of his office, they would say something hostile and then escape. Sometimes, the (transference) hostility was directed toward him.
