ABSTRACT

Before moving on to explore how the legal and ethical frameworks apply to social work and real life cases, let's remind ourselves of the core components of our models for thinking about the relationships between social work, law and ethics. In Part I we have identified a range of principles and approaches. There are four key pairings in Chapter 1, and another two added after that; four approaches to fairness, four principles of decision-making, four major ethical schools, and four approaches to freedom.
