ABSTRACT
Two brothers stood on the shore of a small lake in Sweden. The cold winter was ending and the ice on the lake was breaking up. The brothers wanted to cross the lake to their summerhouse. ‘Let’s go!’ shouted one of them and raced out across the ice, jumping from one piece of ice to another. He soon reached the other side and looked back to see his brother still standing on the shore. ‘What happened to you?’ he shouted. ‘That was a stupid thing to do’ came the reply ‘You could have drowned! I’ll walk round.’
