ABSTRACT
The ‘gene’ is nothing but a very applicable little word, easily combined with others, and hence it may be useful as an expression for the ‘unit factors,’ ‘elements’ or ‘allelomorphs’ in the gametes, demonstrated by modern Mendelian researches. 1
