ABSTRACT
I grew up in Texas. And all we had were horizons. And the line of a freeway stretching way out to nowhere. I have always enjoyed journey metaphors in stories, The Wizard of Oz and Lord of the Rings pretty much own me as stories. In most of the histories of CDS and our work in Digital Storytelling, our story started as a buddy story. The opening scene shows a New England WASP gonzo media artist and a Texan-in-Exile radical theater guy standing around scratching their heads over the script of a performance piece, Next Exit.
