ABSTRACT
We open our compendium of calendar-related schemes with a scheme that doesn’t celebrate a particular special date but does look to the particular significance of the start of the school year; the period of change and adjustment to new situations that September and the return always presents to some degree. Our scheme makes space for children to explore the experience of facing change and seeks to build a positive orientation towards it.
