ABSTRACT
We are well aware that with the presentation of this book we are providing a solu-tion to a problem that many do not yet realize they have. Indeed, whenever we claim that we have found an innovative method for carrying out energy analysis across different scales, a method capable of making robust energy scenarios and of assessing the quality of potential alternative energy sources, we witness two types of reaction. Those who are familiar with the field of energy analysis gener-ally show excitement and are eager to know more, while those unfamiliar with the field of energetics, even if actively involved in sustainability studies, politely smile but do not seem particularly impressed, neither by our achievement nor by the chosen subject of investigation.
