6 Binding forces, 1815–1919

In this chapter I will analyse the binding forces sustaining the various primary institutions in Norden in the period 1815–1919. This will again be done in accordance with the operationalised framework set out in the first part of this book, and in terms of structure I will again base the discussion on the five functional categories for primary institutions.
