Metal workers (gong jin zhi gong 攻金之工)

Among metal workers ¹ , there are the forging founders (zhushi ² ), who have authority over the low-proportion alloy foundry; the smelting founders (yeshi ³ ), who have authority over the high-proportion alloy foundry; the bell founders (fushi ⁴ ), who make sounding instruments; the measure-makers (lishi ⁵ ), who make the measures of capacity; the plough-makers (duanshi ⁶ ), who make farm implements; and the sword-smiths (taoshi ⁷ ), who make the weapons having a long, sharp-pointed blade with a cutting edge or edges.
