Since the 1960s, however, this situation has changed dramatically. With explosive growth rates, Korean companies started to export their way into the world markets. At a time when their foreign competitors had barely noticed their very existence, these companies already held respectable market shares in a wide range of manufacturing industries. And not long thereafter, they also started to invest and produce in the whole world – in North America, Europe, Asia, and elsewhere. Tiger Management made its debut on the world stage.
