ABSTRACT
This is inevitably a short chapter because it is still being written, and not only by me. What happens in the world of action research depends on the community of action researchers and our commitments to what we know and how we use this knowledge, as well as what we do not know and whether we need to know it. I have ideas, and set them out here. This requires a return to the idea of order, and how we see ourselves in relation to different orders.
