ABSTRACT
Being in your class definitely changed me. Of course, I acquired new math skills, etc., but I also acquired a new perspective on the world. For some reason, after seeing so many acts of injustices happening before our very own eyes, I cared even more about the issues happening in society. For example, the whole TIF [development scheme] situation we went into in class angered me so much because it made me see how the rich white people were sort of getting rid of minority groups by pushing them out of their poor homes so the rich people (whites!) could all live in some expensive condos. It just frustrated me to see how some people can be so selfish and uncaring! Being in your class has definitely made me a more caring person and is the reason why I am currently searching for a profession which will allow me to help others later on in life.
