ABSTRACT
Determining whether your target audience has learned what they were supposed to learn goes hand in hand with identifying the outcomes. Identifying aligned outcomes and assessments provides the “bookends” for a design. Taken together, the outcomes and assessments clearly indicate the KASIs to be learned and how learners will be tested to determine if they have mastered those desired learning outcomes. Ultimately, the success of the target audience in mastering the outcomes and passing the assessments is a critical indicator of the success of your instruction.
