ABSTRACT

This, the first of two concluding chapters, looks across the different strands of work discussed in previous chapters to draw out overarching conclusions in order to gauge whether a better understanding of the nature of early twenty-first-century public space in London has been revealed. The focus here is on the processes of public space creation, use and management, both through history and today, whilst Chapter 12 relates these findings back to the critiques of public space discussed throughout the book.
