ABSTRACT
Aviation advancements and airport development are critical for people’s ability to travel quickly, easily, and affordably. The efficient transport of cargo is similarly important to the world’s economic viability. If aviation is to remain the preferred long-distance transportation choice—and we expect it will for the next several decades, based on current demographic trends and consumer behavior—then improvements in aircraft fuel economy, emissions, flight times, and the overall passenger experience are key.
