ABSTRACT
Already before I wrote Addendum 18 to the 7th edition of Logik der Forschung (which I still consider fatal for the philosophy of induction), that is, in the summer of 1981, I had started work on a simplifi cation and clarifi cation of a new proof against probabilistic induction.
