ABSTRACT

In her essay, 'C . L. Moore and the conventions of women's science fiction', Susan Gubar remarks that C. L. Moore 'is a writer who deserves reader^'.^ The fact that the material for this chapter3 was compiled mainly by means of lucky encounters in second-hand bookshops is ample evidence of the fact that, however deserving she may be, the work of C. L. Moore is woefully lacking an audience at present.
