ABSTRACT

As we commence this third chapter, we move from a more contextual and awareness-based discussion to a focus on creativity. Chapters 3 to 5 represent a three-stage learning experience based on work at the sound level increasing up to the achievement of entire sound-based pieces. Creativity is not an isolated experience. It involves a lovely combination of knowledge, awareness, analytical insight and imagination. Therefore, these three chapters continue to develop context and awareness whilst offering a variety of opportunities to be creative. The three chapters are dependent on one another. It might be useful to look at them all briefly before embarking upon some of the activities in greater detail.
