ABSTRACT

The final step of the framework is explored in this chapter. In so doing, ways of addressing directly the issue of marginalisation are discussed. Through the sharing of information amongst students and staff, the seeds of changes in thinking are likely to be planted from the previous step. However, Step 4 is viewed as a separate step since substantial changes in thinking, and more importantly practice, need time to take place. It is argued, therefore, that in order to deal with marginalisation, practitioners and students, working together, have to find ways to act on the issues that have emerged from following the earlier steps in the process.
