ABSTRACT
There was no clear distinction between the categories of storage by either Keynes or Kaldor. ‘Trade’ inventory should have been separated from commodity stocks in private hoards and government ‘reserves’, and even the latter should have been dissected into institutional inventory and non-institutional stocks. However, economic supply theory continued to be aggregated for the purposes of facilitating equilibrium theory,8 despite all the aggregative data limitations.9
