      ABSTRACT

This chapter assesses different stakeholder positions on REDD. It also projects what different groups could do in the future to enhance REDD prospects.

Appreciating the evolution of REDD requires understanding the range of stakeholders and stakes involved. While these stakeholders from global to local levels can be identified, the potential benefits from REDD as currently framed by policy will accrue, potentially predominantly, to those far removed from the front lines where REDD will be implemented.
