ABSTRACT
We often exert influence over others’ actions. For instance, some parents will force their children to eat everything on their plates. A friend may let a close friend drive his car. In this unit, we will study constructions used to describe such relationships from the point of view of the one who exerts the influence and from the point of view of the one who is being affected.
