Combined Operation It looked like a dance: the women in white, moving in repeated halfcircles, lifting their loose dresses until they swayed like sails. It was a few peasant women in East Africa trying desperately to drive away a huge swarm of locusts which was setting on their crops. If they didn't succeed, or weren't helped, many of their families would starve within the year.
