ABSTRACT
Konstantin Stanislavski created a system. It was a system for acting that enables us, as actors, to create truthful and believable characters. Stanis - lavski’s system is as vibrant a system for acting today as it was all those years ago in the studios and rehearsal rooms of the Moscow Art Theatre. Today, the system is still the most comprehensive acting method we have, and Stanislavski’s ideas have dominated theatre for over 80 years.
