ABSTRACT
This section broadly surveys some recent changes in the forms and landscapes of cities since the late 1970s and early 1980s. It will examine in turn changes in the city centre, the inner-city, the suburbs and will conclude with a look at the emergence, or otherwise, of post-suburban developments in the UK, drawing comparisions with international developments.
