ABSTRACT
We started out with the question of what makes an abortion register as an important event in the life of a woman. We have seen that this is the only ‘secular’ attitude that lowers the likelihood of repeated abortions. What makes an abortion significant? When a first abortion has taken place, how does one keep abortion from mutely transforming itself into an ordinary event?
