Globalization is conceptually a consolidating phenomenon, but it proves on the

contrary to be fragmented and complex and generates the need for a search for new

operative tools. Due to the ‘shrinking’ of the globe, everyday life on an enormous

scale is turning into something right outside our windows. A global reality is coming

steadily closer and more readily visible, independent of longitude or latitude.
