Relationships with parents

The 1977 Taylor Report on the work of governing bodies makes the following comment about relationships with parents:

The governing body should satisfy itself that adequate arrangements are made to inform parents, to involve them in their children’s progress and welfare, to enlist their support, and to ensure their access to the school and teachers by reasonable arrangements.
