The purpose of this chapter is to help you assemble the information you have collected into the written report which forms the main basis of your assessment.

The importance of the report Although some syllabuses include other elements of written work (eg the scheme for the London Board which reserves 20% of enquiry marks for the diary) the majority of your marks will come from the written report. However thorough your reading and research or however sociologically significant your findings, if you are not able to present your work well in the written report you will not get the credit you deserve.
