ABSTRACT
Primary teachers are faced with a quandary when planning an ICT-based activity. They must ensure that pupils have the support they need for developing their ICT capability, while providing them with contexts which stimulate learning in other subjects as well. This is a challenge that requires clear thinking, and teachers should consider:
1 What is the educational purpose of the activity – to develop ICT capability, to support learning in another area of the curriculum, or both?
