ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to focus your thinking on particular aspects of the work of the PE teacher for which you must take particular responsibility during your initial teacher education (ITE) and throughout your teaching career. By the time you take up your first appointment you should:
• be comfortable that your are developing into an effective teacher; • be up to date and willing to extend your subject knowledge; • understand that you have the opportunity for personal and career
